The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation recently showcased their Employer Roadmap: Childcare Solutions for Working Parents, featuring Better Communities Collaborative’s flexibility culture as a model for maximizing opportunities for working parents.

According to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, hundreds of employers reached out during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic seeking solutions to support working parents. To answer these inquiries, the USCC Foundation developed the Employer Roadmap intended to help senior leaders understand what options are available to address childcare needs for working parents. It also includes information about what to expect on the journey and how to put strategies into action for their business. As part of the Employer Roadmap, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation partnered with five businesses— Better Communities Collaborative, Black Hills Energy, Dick’s Drive-In, Guild Education, and Mazda Toyota Manufacturing— to share the innovative ways they’ve found to create solutions for professional families. Representing the flexibility component of the Employer Roadmap, Director of Human Resources Amy Clark and Lauren Garren, a Senior Project Manager with W&A Engineering visited Washington D.C. to discuss the specifics of how Better Communities Collaborative maximizes flexibility for team members across the family of businesses.
